The Wildlife Warriors Review
The Wildlife Warriors:
Saving Their Habitats
By Orlyola Tantchou
The Wildlife Warriors is a simple children’s book with a straightforward and no-nonsense message: while humans generally have a negative impact on the environment, there are ways we can repair it. The Wildlife Warriors presents four different animals, each living in different environments and facing a different form of pollution.
There is some phrase repetition as each animal is introduced, which may help keep your child engaged and help them with word recognition.
The art style is simplistic but welcoming, it is not overly fancy and not underdone either. Each page has just enough to process to look over it quickly and progress to the next page.
The message is delivered as a hopeful note at the end of the story, stressing the importance of humans’ roles as caretakers of the planet.
I recommend this book to any family wanting to teach their children how our actions affect the environment and also how to combat these effects.
